“ We had late lunch there on the way to Austin. Great food, reasonable prices. I would eat there again if I was near the place. ”
“ Food is very good. Prices reasonable. Pretty fast service. Will go there again. ”
“ Great little tex-mex/mexican joint. The seats have cool embroidery and are very solid tables which adds to the natural Mexican restaurant feel. I usually get the barbacoa plate but the carne asada is also delicious. The margaritas seem a little bit syrupy. But the prices are very affordable and they'll usually walk out paying only 40 or 50 for two people. The chips and salsa that you originally get seem very authentic and the chips are very thick and crunchy. All in all this is definitely a good Mexican place if you're driving through Johnson City and need to grab a quick bite at an affordable price. ”
“ As a RGV resident anytime I am able to find a Mexican restaurant that can satisfy my yearning for a taste of home during my travels, I considered it's a blessing. El agave definitely won me over with it's authentic Mexican food and sealed the deal with its friendly staff. I had the Pancho's deluxe with beef fajitas with a really generous serving size and the flavor to match. Highly recommended especially after a long hike at the nearby State Park. ”
“ The beans and rice were so good. The al pastor was served on sauteed cactus, yummy. Everyone, parents and kids, ate their whole plates. ”
